HMM. if you read it tells you to move pax window out way and wait on creatives splash screen 1st, then up pops window with a black dude on it, install this then after all is done dont reboot but install pax updates then reboot.

Yes I know but the way it is worded at the top of that pax window it appears that those updates are not for ZS owners only sblive and Audigy 1 owners.

I am a new user of youp pax, but i used to get audigy 2 drivers for my audigy 1.

I just have a few comments :

-my audigy is still shown like a 2 not a 4, is it normal ?

- i need to go the speakers parameters, change the speakers from 2.1 to 4.1 then back to 2.1 to get a good sound. I had the same problem with creative drivers, anyone know why ?

I did install the updates on the ZS it tells you to in guide ( im not on this new build i used ones 2 weeks ago) and i got no probs this new pack adds bugg fixes and live cards, ive not seen it.

To the peeps who get virus warnin, you obv not reading any this thread, it tells you certain antiviris apps see a viri that aint a viri, you see that little extra .exe in your main downloaed folder, the one that isnt for installing drivers/apps, well thats for you all to run so the antivirua you use wont misinform you its a virus.

Im on norton 2005 and there is nothing.

I'm really confused... I'm using the new version of YouP-PAX 2005 NewYear(Feb,7,2005)
with my audigy 2 zs and the containing youp 3.89g drivers. but which drivers are better? the 3.89g oder the pax newyear2005 1.2 ? i'm asking coz i noticed that, when i startet the computer new, the readreg thing was version 1.5.x... with the pax newyear 1.2 it was 2.0.x.. and there is no music/games-edit.

I have a SBLive X-Gamer 5.1 and am Looking to install these new drivers, I've grabbed both the LIVE-NewYear.zip and Youp Ultra VI, in the instructions it says the live new years have the drivers in em, but then also says to install the youp Ultra VI, so I dont really get it, can someone tell me what I should be doing to install this? Ultra VI then just hte software from the package or should I be using the Package and not touching the Ultra VI or what

I also see that there is now the Live-NewYear-2005 which seems a little simpler, but still, could some one tell me what I should probably be installing and the directions? I am a pretty heavy gamer so games are always my priority

After having read this thread I decided to try the latest YouP-PAX 2005 NewYear Package on my audigy 2 zs. I followed the instructions uninstaling my creative drivers, deleting the reg keys and directories and the installation was a breeze. No errors or unidentified devices and I was able to install all the software upgrades applicable to my card. I know a lot of people are asking whether it's worth installing these drivers on this card, and I have to say that I'm impressed. Sound is louder and richer. I have yet to test some games but music sounds great. If you're contemplating giving these a try I hope this convinces you. Well done to Leon and the guys that put these together. Keep up the great work!!

I have just put the PAX-NewYears2004 driver pack on Bittorrent. It will be slow at 1st since I'm the only one seeding it, but if ya all start downloading we can get the speeds up. I won't be online when I sleep so it only up until 1200 hrs PST on most days. All I need is one person to have the file, and it'll spread.

* Yes your system properties will still state you r current soundcard version, since that's what you have. If ya got an Audigy 2, you WON'T get an Audigy 4. Your only utilizing the drivers and applications that you couldn't use with the official files.

I've also got 100% satisfaction with these drivers.

1) Downloaded off Ordorica. Fast speeds.
2) Removed all Creative apps via Add/Remove programs in CP.

I had not installed any other drivers besides the default creative set that came with my card, so I followed these instruction to uninstall them

About uninstalling other Creative drivers and software:

Go to Control Panel and execute Add or Remove Programs to uninstall all Creative software and a program named Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS. Then open regedit and delete:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Creative Tech

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Creative Tech

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Cr eative Tech
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Contro l\Creative Tech
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Contro l\Creative Tech

Next, remove directory X:\Program Files\Creative, after restart you computer.

I downloaded the drivers from a mirror on the ordorica.org site. Not sure which one but the file name was PAX-NewYear2005.rar. I chose the English installation option and then chose the option to install both drivers and applications. I believe these are the v3.89 drivers base on CT 5.12.01.0444 drivers as stated in an earlier thread. Did not really have to do much else. The Creative installer ran without any delay and I did not reboot as it suggested. I then installed all the software updates except those applicable to Audigy platinum cards or Audigy2 ZS Pro cards. I think it was the remote control stuff or entertainment centre. Reboot and everything worked fine

I guess it helps that I have an Audigy 2 ZS. Not sure how easy the installation is with other cards. My only suggestion is try get your system into a clean state by removing all traces of exiting drivers. Then give this package a try.

The apps are there but the driver is not (my xp show "?" multimedia audio device).

peanut, i used the PAX that was prob 3 weeks ago now not this new one and if you read the advise some peeps gave later as of probs they encountered, you will also be sorted, i read 10x and i still was missing something, then i seen my error.

To make it short for you i downloaded new year driver 1,2 as standalone and obv we are startint of totally clean of any creative shit on hdd, inc running driver cleaner pro in dafe mode, ok installed drivers and rebooteds , then i used the pax from 3 weeks ago but used the option to only install apsps as i got driver already, ignore the pax window and wait on creative splash screen, then ignore for few secs till screen with a black dude on it pops up. I choose all but the entainment centre as i not got remote and PLAT, and it tells you it can cause delayed shutdown if you try on non PLAT.

OK all them items minus Enter-centre install DO NOT reboot, bring PAX window to front and update all you have choosen b4 (prob all) then when done finally REBOOT.

This new PAX is for peeps with probs on previous and adds live cards, but i had 0 probs anyhow and i seem to read more in new one.

Hi,

Still searching for a way to download the latest drivers. It took (almost) half a day to read through this thread. I couldn't find any info about ASIO or other recording options.

My question, I want to use ASIO drivers (for multiple input sources) with 24/96 recording setings. With official drivers its only posible with the A2 Platinum eX and the A4Pro.
Do these drivers change this restriction? I have an Audigy 1 but will buy a 2 ZS, if it doesn't work on the A1, but does work on the A2 ZS.

Can anyone help?

the drivers work fine on my system (Audigy1, clean Windows) so far, but unfortunately neither the Surround mixer nor the audio HQ function here because the files CtSuRes.dll and SurMix2.crl are missing.

Any hints?

Try reinstalling Audio HQ. I have an Audigy and Audio HQ with surround Mixer works fine for me using this newest NewYear 2005 package.

I'm using Audigy Gamer. Finally finished download the whole package. The version I downloaded is the february release. By following the instructions, the installation was successful!

I find few difference things compared to what was said in the first page.

1. During installation there's no option to select whether the youP driver is Music or Game focus

2. For my audigy installation, there's no Creative DVD-Audio Player

3. There's no DTS:NEO6 settings in CMS also

can someone pls enlighten me on this? Was it because I downloaded the later version which is a bit difference from what Leon described on first page?
