YouP-PAX VI v.2.0 produced basing on Creative v5.12.04.0291 drivers for SBLive! is the Special Edition. Supports Windows 2000, Windows XP, Window Server 2003, Longhorn operating systems. SBlive series sound cards are supported (not Dell 0200 version supported) through modding. Provid Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and English supported.

Operating System:
Windows 2000 (SP3 or later version);
Windows XP (SP1 or later version);
Windows Server 2003(SP1);
Longhorn

If there are issues occured, please install latest Creative official drivers.
It is highly recommended to install the drivers with 2005 New Year software pack, which can be downloaded at : [color=#0000ff]http://www.mydrivers.com/dir110/d44311.htm[/color]

Features:
It improves high, intermediate and low frequency separation, which enhances the power and elasticity (something like this) of low frequency, also with better performance in DVD- Video playback, specifically, with superb sound quality in DVD-Audio playback.

Already-Found-Issues:
-some compatibility problem with several games, such the noisy TV sound and asides in “Max Payne 2” comes out in the games. Merely other compatibility issues found in other EAX games.
-no CMSS 3D functionality in EAX Console, but you can get tweaks on Creative PlayCenter 2.
-Dolby Digital EX function hacked! You can turn it by using Creative Sound Card Control Panel on the desktop, in which Dynamic Range Compression be switched on/off.
-AC3 signal can be passed though S/PDIF to the sound card to process, and DTS sound tracks is played with software players as PowerDVD or WinDVD.

Two Edits of the drivers:
1.Supports the Live! Benefit Special Edition retailed in China's mainland only (including 0220 version Asia and 0220 version Benefit Special):
This Edit is optimized for Benefit Special Edition of Live!, it can also be installed on other Live! cards. It must be chosen to install if you select "Simplified Chinese" interface when installation processed.
2.Does not support Live! 0220 version Asia sound cards and the Benefit Special Edition sound cards(retailed in China's mainland only):
This version is optimised for other Live! cards, and with Chinese Traditional and English installation and driver interfaces added.

Notes:
1. Please uninstall previous drivers before installing version 2.0, or some unexpected issues may occur.
2. includes the patch that mods 4 channels to 5.1, system-shutdown-hang patch, system shutdown acceleration patch (under Windows XP), with added SPDIF IN function under Creative Surround Mixer.
3. While installing the driver under Windows XP, setup program modifies some system files, which will be restored after installation is completed. While asked “Whether to overwrite the newer files?”, please always select “Yes” to continue installation.
4. Please use the uninstallation option which is integrated in drivers to uninstall the 0220 version Benefit Special drivers, or uninstallation cannot be executed completely. Selecting Chinese Simplified installation interface to install 0220 version Asia and the Benefit Special Edition of driver.

I dont hear any sound with the new driver

I uninstalled the whole lew year package and the ux driver and then installed the new one!
In the device manager, the card is proberly installed, but i have no sound!!

No, you don't have to choose Chinese installation. choose English interface and select the second edit.

What Model of SBLive sound card you got?
BTW, you have to have enough space on partition C:\ for installation.

Doesn´t work when i select english interface and then traditionel chinese, it installs the same driver, as when i select always english!

whoops...
there is something wrong...

drivers of 0220 have been put into Chinese edit.

The current solution is you first choose Chinese interface and then just continuity click "next" (right button) to finish installation.
This issue is only for SB 0220. Because even the edit which supports 0220 is put into English interface, a language issue will come out with EAX Console too.

Only SB 0220 gets this issue and this is the modding problem of the 293 drivers.

Yes, sb0220 users have English supported but a few words in EAX Console.

I found another problem, the front left speaker is louder than the right speaker, but i have them in the sourround mixer on the same level!
And the volume slider for the center speaker doesn´t take an effect!

I don't have sound either on my system.
The driver is installed correclty, but all the sliders ont the "audio control panel" are greyed.
I have a soundblaster live! 1024 soundcard

bass m option menu sliders are greyed too...
that's weird.

I've installed the package and it works fin

(thanks for a great job), but i have som questions i hope someone can answer:

Is it the "audigy 2 zs" or "audigy 4" driver?

I dont have the integrated Multimedia service on my machine.
Maybe its from one of the software options you chose, since i only install drivers, speaker setttings, eax/thx console etc.

You choose install depending on what card you have. I choose pax 1.2 newyear (based on audigy4 driver i think).

BTW those that download from my ftp, please say if the speeds are bad or good, since its my new host

Running a Dual boot System, XP is on D:\ plus using a Audigiy 2 ZS.

Found that after the install, D:\ set as the default, some Files are loaded on D:\ and Some on E:\ but they are not the same folders.

Also Plenty of room on the D:\ Partition.

Also should their be a AudioHQ option..?

Have only played with it for the last few days but these are the obvouse problems that I found.

Hey, Ok this is a long expalnation..I downloaded the Live!2005.zip..hope thats the right one..because it's 209 mb and took me three days....OK, after all that it was corrupted..thats OK..I extracted and installed individual parts..sur mix..EAX console..etc, thats all I could do..unfortunately I didn't get the EQ..now when I try and install the package it states I do not have an A2...etc..I thought these were the A4 applications?....you know what might be a good idea..is post links to individual components..surround mixer..etc..OK have sound using the base driver 2.0..thats ok but when I try to change setting EAX from within the EAX control it's greyed out..but I have bass redirection back..lol This is sort of a patch work now....any info you could give me would be great. I don't think I could download them again..dial-up..anyway how could I get the EQ? how do I get the A4 drivers?

In these past 2 days, there has been some feedback regarding the inability of installing 2005 software pack. My guess is the Creative installation program's fault. If one runs the isntallation program or install the driver without a restart, the software pack's installation program will fail to detect the sound card. Therefore, I suggest everyone to first install the software pack [w/o the drivers], and then install the PAX VI 2.0 driver.

March 14:

I'm trying to decide whether I should patch up some minor things on PAX VI 2.0, because lately I've found out that the driver does not perform if it is reinstalled. The reason being the method of editing the system files is not implemented well, and I'm figuring some new method for solving this problem and have the driver stays stable in XP.

i installed the 2.0 driver with the 2005 package on a live! value today. driver works fine, but after installing and reinstalling the package, the "playcenter" won't work. it seems to have a missing file: "ctp2res.dll".
somebody's got a solution?

Maybe its from one of the software options you chose, since i only install drivers, speaker setttings, eax/thx console etc. You choose install depending on what card you have. I choose pax 1.2 newyear (based on audigy4 driver i think). Found that after the install, D:\ set as the default, some Files are loaded on D:\ and Some on E:\ but they are not the same folders. Also Plenty of room on the D:\ Partition. Also should their be a AudioHQ option..? Thanks

With every thing removed, Virus checker etc, and all creative folders and drivers, still have the same problems as before. XP Home SP2, Intel system P4c 3.2g, 1 Gig of ram, GF FX 5900XT.

ROBSCIX DriverHeaven Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2004 Posts: 1,732 Rep Power: 0	Hey, Ok this is a long expalnation..I downloaded the Live!2005.zip..hope thats the right one..because it's 209 mb and took me three days....OK, after all that it was corrupted..thats OK..I extracted and installed individual parts..sur mix..EAX console..etc, thats all I could do..unfortunately I didn't get the EQ..now when I try and install the package it states I do not have an A2...etc..I thought these were the A4 applications?....you know what might be a good idea..is post links to individual components..surround mixer..etc..OK have sound using the base driver 2.0..thats ok but when I try to change setting EAX from within the EAX control it's greyed out..but I have bass redirection back..lol This is sort of a patch work now....any info you could give me would be great. I don't think I could download them again..dial-up..anyway how could I get the EQ? how do I get the A4 drivers?
