This thread is dead... there arent replies to help us I wrote two or three times to get help with surround mixer but nobody responds

man, if ther are no replies to your message is because there is no answer to that problem. The one who should answer to that is classic_leon or YouP-PaX himself, since they are who have that info.

I had the same problem with surround mixer 2 when I had Live! I tried several ways to fix, but I coulnt, nor Playcenter.

Hope classic comes soon and can solve your problem.

My problem is solved. currently I'm using NewYear1.2 with NEWYEAR2005 pack since 3.89 cannot support Audigy ZS Notebook(cannot detect the card). quite happy now.. better than using original driver from creative

BTW i have taken down newyear2005 package for a day or two since only on that file i have transferred 100 gigs in a little more than a week, so i am giving the server a break.
The newyear 1.2 driver without all the software etc is still available:

I can't install the software pack ( newYear 2005). An error message appears " Can't find Sound Blaster Audigy 2 on your computer" Plz help me. I'm using a SoundBlaster Live! 5.1 and the latest YouP VI for Live. Thanks.

I wouldn't mind trying these drivers on my Audigy, but the only links that work are 2 of the 'mydrivers' links... and they're just too slow for me

I can download a torrent from one of the other sites mentioned (ordorica.org) but the tracker on that refuses any connection attempts.

Gonna have to wait for some new links I think... :/

added my mirrors again... sorry for the downtime. I was waiting for a new PAX to come out, but I guess it never did.

Use up while you can. Getright - download managers - are okay as long as you go through with the download. There is a lot of wasted bandwidth on partially downloaded files.

Could someone help me! I have Audigy 2 ZS Plantinum and attempted to install the PAX-NEWYEAR2005 driver. I select option 2 and go through the process until I recieve an error message indicating "Setup did not detect required components setup will exit" with option to click OK. I do this and the software continues to install, the system reboots, however I cannot get into any software and the audio devices of the control panel indicate that there is no driver installed.

Not sure if this is a part of the installization process as well but part way through the installization process an additional install screen pops up along with PAX screen (you can toggle back and forth between screens)which looks like a Creative install for Audigy 2. I ignored this screen and continued with the PAX setup. Is this OK? Either way I cannot get the drivers installed on my system

. I'd appreciate some direction.

Thanks for any anticipated help.

umm when you select the Audigy 2 ZS choice u will get another install screen which has been modded. SO YOU HAVE TO INSTALL through the 2nd screen u get and you are done with it .. it asks u to restart.. choose to restart later .. and just after the install is done.. PAX installer will continue with its setup ..

What I was confused with is that 2nd install screen (which looked like an actual Creative install wizzard) was for the installization of Audigy 2 not Audigy 2 ZS. Are you saying that I should have continued with that one first then go back to the PAX one? Sorry if I'm restating the obvious. Thanks for your help thus far.

yea just go along with the install.. as soon as your done with creative installation it will automatically go back to PAX.. just make sure not to restart between the installation.. when asked for to restart do not do it until the PAX installer asks it.

For the Audigy 2 value the 3.89 drivers wouldnt work so I installed JUST the driver from the disk and the downloaded software works GREAT with it. I am yet to tell the improvements except for it fixed my speaker problem to where I had to turn on bass redirection to hear any bass at all. Which I THANK YOU PAX now my 200w bass is useful again! But other than that the only difference is that some things that were blue are silver now... :P I think to take true advantage of the software you guys need to make a audigy 2 value driver too! When you try to install the audigy 2 3.89 drivers it installs it, but windows doesnt find it as a driver and then when you try to start the software it cant find your card, and if you try to play sounds you wont get any, because there is no card according to windows!

Running PAX-NEWYEAR2005 drivers. In my control panel, I have AudioHQ icon. When I go into it, I have functioning software for mixer, EQ, etc., however, these look like old cheesie versions(light blue in colour). I also have functioning all the new software with the bar on top of screen that apprears when the "hand" touches it (I assume Audigy 4 stuff), metallic grey in colour. When I open both mixers and turnup the volume in one the volume also turns up in the other. My concern is that if select what I want to record from (far right) on one mixer, it does not change in the other.

Two questions:
1. Is this just a normal thing that happens when installing the PAX drivers?

2. Is it possible to remove the cheesie looking software in AudioHQ and just have what I think is the A4 software?

Since here seems to be some PAX driver users ... can someone do some testing with RMAA.

You can dl the program here http://audio.rightmark.org/index_new.shtml from.
There is also info files (pdf) for setting up your SB card (Audigy).

I would like to see RMAA results with graphics, so you have to link the HTML processed
result page to here (graphics just shows more than some numeric data).
