it didn't work without installing 3.89 first, why?
In relation to JohnMcClane's quote above, does that mean you should not delete the new year package before installing 3.89? In his case maybe he did not need to delete them in the first place.

I installed 3.99 first, then new year pack without driver and once creative-style installer popped during this install -> I installed it immediatly when it spawned.

Works wonders with music/games. I haven't yet tried DVDs.

BUGREPORT
I still see some letters with japanese fonts in creative HQ, and one shortcut game to my desktop during the end-part of installation with no icon nor software where it links to.

I have a question about the EAX console... How can I enable it?
Otherwise these drivers kick ass - they work great on my Audigy.

System Specs

Tried the new drivers with music. Sounds really good. Dont need to use the Newyear v1.2 drivers anymore to get that loudness! Good job YouP, classic leon, and the whole Team.

Was a pain in the butt trying to install the New Year 2005 package again, though. Appears that choosing the installation option without drivers doesnt work (the Creative splash screen and the new window with the black guy on it never pops up). Had to use the installation option that includes the drivers, but when the Black guy and the Creative software windows came up, I chose not to install windows drivers in a custom installation. It installed OK, then. Then, I restarted after installing the updates, and installed the new YouP-PAX ZS v4.00 drivers. Works great with music playback!

Been on the run, but will try them with games a music production later.

Again thanks, upon a successful install this software and new drivers are really good!

-Original Creative audigy 2 ZS driver

installing YouP-PAX-ZSv4.00

I tried to install YouP-PAX-ZSv4.00 driver as standalone on audigy 1ES,system was clear (as it was reccomended, (driver cleaner, regedit and so on….) but not sucsess, it stopped when it tried upgrade win. drivers and it did not continue .(it reported that it will take a few minutes and nothing , still it seems that it is installing)

Where i do mistake ,when i try to install pax 4.00 ?

should i install it after PAX-NewYear2005 ?

During installation, there is a confirmation window, asking if you want to install non whql drivers, if you don't see this window press Alt+Tab to bring it to front.

To add to what JohnMcClane said, be aware that it may take a while for the v4.00 drivers to install. I had to wait about 5-7 minutes for the drivers to install. It may take a long time, but wait. I had to wait a long time, but it did finish installing.

Fine that is as for quality. I just don't have any creative applications and so not any surround mixer/CMSS/bass rediction/etc..

I think I'll try to mix NEW YEAR PACKAGE into this soup.

Doesn't work with sblive 24bit nor sb audigy2 value, because they doesn't have emu-chip.

Not yet tried music production with these new v4.00 drivers, but games work OK, yet I still get some occasional squeal of death freezes when playing games. This is no wonder to me as I get these squeal of death freezes with Creative Labs official drivers, and the kX Project audio driver. I read somewhere that this squel of death freeze problem was fixed in one of the newer official Creative drivers, but I used that driver back then and I still had the problem. I'm thinking this may be a system specific thing. It's not too often that it happens, though.

I'm waiting for the new software and drivers based on the Audigy 4 apps and drivers. These drivers work well for music production. I remember from using them with one of the previous YouP PAX driver releases. But for music production, the kX drivers work best in my experience.

I have a SATA hdd and if i forget to unplug my usb2.0 floppy/card reader, it stealls the C drive for one of the card readers (it appears as 1 floppy drive with normal connection to mobo and 2 harddrives).

Once this happens you cannot change the main Logical drivers letter.
