chriss 013, We all tried this in the beginning of last year, connect 25 and 35 to get AC3 decoded through external source. But we only used Digital I/O to finish tempting and Optical In is required for input of stream from external device, eg. PlayStation 2. Not only Audigy2 card can do, Audigy sound card can also do this. micm said right, using Creative drivers and using PAX drivers are the same for decoding. I suggest you to use a Digital I/O for you card which costs about 10 dollars only to try it in that you have more functionality with your card.

YouP-PAX ZS v3.99 Music
The modification of PAX ZS V3.99 soundcard drivers is based on Creative drivers v5.12.01.0444, the set of drivers is compatible with Windows 2000, Windows XP(Home & Professional), Windows Sever 2003 and Windows Longhorn. Supports SB Audigy (does not support Audigy LS soundcard), SB Audigy2( does not support Audigy2 Value), SB Audigy2 ZS series. Simplified Chinese, traditional Chinese and English are supported by Installation Interface; and Multilanguage are supported by the drivers( does not support Japanese).
System Requirement:
Windows 2000 ( Service Pack 3 or above)
Windows XP ( Service Pack 1 or above, recommend Service Pack 2)
Windows 2003 ( Full version)
Windows Longhorn ( Test version and future full version)

Features:
Enhanced separability of high, intermediate and low frequency through the modification， improved flexibility of low frequency sound, it’s stronger and lower than the official driver, tone color of different sound level is perfectly balanced, intermediate frequency sound field is close for music playback, improved gaming sound effects and greater 3D sound effect compatibility with games ,it also has greater DVD-Video playback quality.
This set of drivers optimized aims on analog output only, it has not been tested for digital output, please uninstall it and change to other drivers if any problem occurs during the use.
Audigy2 to Audigy2 ZS soft-mod patch are integrated; debug audio control panel, replaced with creative audio control program, installation program will automatically choose the option, it also allows you to choose whether to install the “speed-up shut down” patch provided by Microsoft.
Known problems:
To gain better sound quality, port definition files of the driver are modded, if install on the Audigy2 or Audigy2 ZS soundcard with external box or digital I/O card, it may represent unable to adjust volume of front left/right channel, however, it does not effect the volume of front channel, this problem is currently not able to be fixed.
Note:
1.Before the installation, please uninstall the current soundcard drivers on your OS, otherwise, it may interfere with the new drivers installation.
2.If any incompatible issue occurs after the installation, please uninstall the driver and reinstall it, and if the problem occurs again, please reinstall the OS.
3.Please close the other programs before the installation, it may interfere with the installation progress, some antivirus software may also cause problems.

Updated. YouP-PAX ZS v4.0 has been out.
Fixed a few bugs of YouP-PAX ZS v3.99:
-fix that conflict occurs when installing related DVD-AUDIO software
-sound effect in Games are enhanced and better performance with the games in that hissing issue is fixed with some games.

And another thing, i got the newyearpack installed with driver on my audigy 2 ZS. When i get this new driver can i just over install it?[/color]

You must uninstall your current driver first, then install this driver. It will not effect (or should not effect) the newyearpack.

It works just fine on my setup.

Hello, everyone! I have a Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 Do I have to install the 2005 New Year pack FIRST, and then YouP PAX VI v.2.0? Can someone please tell me exactly what I need to do?

Also, there is LIVE NewYear, and then theres YouP-PAX 2005 NewYear. Which one am I supposed to get? I am a gamer and I listen to music. Can someone please help me?

I've got problems with those drivers when playing Source engine based games. Sounds are distorted and clipped. Despite this - this driver rocks!

I'm using version 4.00 on Audigy 2.

People, please read the info provided before installing ANYTHING. These drivers do not support Live cards unless Classic Leon forgot to mention it in the post he wrote which I doubt. Live cards usally have separate drivers released.

If it says a driver pack supports Audigy cards, do not assume they work on Live cards and vice versa. Even the model of different cards can be unsupported so check before installing.

Just a heads up.

the live is based on a different DSP chip than the audigy series - that is where the incompatibility may come from

Yes. I was using kX before, and I removed them using Driver Cleaner Pro. Maybe it has something to do with CMSS or things like that?

If you have the live card choose the live packages and drivers. If you feel like it you could try to install the newyear package first without installing drivers and try it out with the live drivers. Haven't got a clue but I guess it might halt when trying to install the newyear package since it cannot find the correct card. Again, READ the instructions and what cards are supported.

tried to install YouP-PAX-ZSv4.00 driver as standalone on audigy 1ES,system was clear (as it was reccomended, (driver cleaner,regedit and so on….) but not sucsess, it stopped when it tried upgrade win. drivers and it did not continue .(it reported that it will take a few minutes and nothing , still it seems that it is installing)

What do you mean? Is the "Enable Audio eEfects" button greyed out or something (meaning you can't place a check mark in it)? Or do you not know how to get to the EAX console? Also list your sound card and what did you do to install the Newyear Package? What driver did you use?

You have to uninstall previous drivers and software before you install the New Year Package and the new v4.00 driver? If you didnt do that, maybe that's why youre having problems. Probably some of your questions would be answered if you read through this entire thread (from post #1).

I have an Audigy sound card. The new v4.00 drivers will install if you install the New Year Package first, but I found that you have to install the New Year package using the option that includes the drivers. However, when, the window with the black guy pops up and you begin to install the Creative software, you can do a custom install and unselect Windows Drivers, so that you dont install the windows drivers Of the New Year package.

You can install the updates after the software is installed, and after a reboot, install the new v4.00 drivers. I would say do not try to install the New Year Package using the software only option! That didnt work for me. When using that install option, the Creative Splash Screen, and the window with the black guy on it, never pops up.

TFAROCH DriverHeaven Junior Member Join Date: Apr 2005 Posts: 29 Rep Power: 0	problems with pax 4.00 tried to install YouP-PAX-ZSv4.00 driver as standalone on audigy 1ES,system was clear (as it was reccomended, (driver cleaner,regedit and so on….) but not sucsess, it stopped when it tried upgrade win. drivers and it did not continue .(it reported that it will take a few minutes and nothing , still it seems that it is installing) [color=black]So i install new year pax 1.2 driver standalone ,reboot, and then PAX-NewYear2005 and reboot, without any problems , (1.2 worked as standalone driver without any problems too) [/color] [color=black]Very good bass sound ,and very clear sound in games and for music too .[/color] [color=black]Where i do mistake ,when i try to install pax 4.00 ?
