my audigy has this bug. I just install the drivers using ctzapxx and install the applications. Too bad there's no way of fixing instead of soldering. What happens if you just try to flash the eeprom by itself...nothing?

It must be removed from the card to be able to reflash it. I soldered a socket on my card to plug the chip into and have a socket soldered to the wires on my printer port flasher just in case I ever have to reflash the chip. That way "IF" I ever have to reflash it I won't have to use a soldering iron to do it. All I'll have to do is unplug the chip from the sound card and plug it into the printer port flasher and reflash it then plug it back onto the sound card. Good Luck Red |

Hi redwarrior. I follow your tutorial for repair Audigy card. I flashed it successfully two times, but the Subsystem ID is 0040 yet. I put the card in the old PC, then the ACPI can't overwrite another time the EEPROM. Any suggestion?
Thanks a lot. Bye nicolati |
