Default Post Looping Sound in Games with an Audigy2

Is anyone else experiencing this problem? It occurs in virtually every game I have to some degree. The sound loops several seconds and the system is unresponsive during the looping. It does recover in several seconds but it's very frustrating. I have the latest drivers installed (It even did it with the installation CD drivers).I even installed the VIA Latency patch in desperation; because I have an old KT133 chipset and no help.Any suggestions appreciated in advance.

My brother has TerraTec DMX Xfire 1024 and KT133 board (Soltek SL75-KAV). It occurs sometimes, especially when not connected to LAN. I don't know how to fix it, but it occures very rare if connected to LAN.

Full specs?

Think I have it solved...I went through the Windows\System32 folder and found a few dll s from my old SB Live X Gamer card. I removed those manually and all seems well? Creative can't even seem to make a good uninstaller .

I can't belive that you actually didn't reinstall windows. I always reinstall when I change or add some hardware.

I never found that necessary, unless changing/upgrading the motherboard...

1. I reinstall when I change graphic card, MoBo, whatever when I think it can be useful.
2. Audigy2 is good. I mean really good. I mean, I am going to buy one someday (as soon as it is supported by kX).
3. It is good that you don't double post anymore.

kX is excellent.

You used to quote one and post and then qoute other one and post (old tradition of increasing post numbers).
