IMO, i would not. Considering that everything is moving from the old standard of normal PCI to PCI-EX and would be expecting the PCI-EX 1x sound cards to start showing up...
Another is i'm not sure WHAT onboard you have... soundstorm? Realtek? additionally, i've yet to encounter a good creative card. And if you wanted to get a sound card that surpasses your onboard in any matter, try to do a little searching around and find a Hercules 7.1 card (fortissimo/Digifire/Game Theater XP) or perhaps wait for the Hercules Fortissimo 4 as it apparently does an excellent job. Frankly, looking at your Desktop image, you've already ALOT of tasks running at once, creative would ad a compliment of 3-4 extras that are REALLY not going to help you out in speed.

answer NO
unless you want the extra bundled games, otherwise you are paying more than the normal A2ZS package, which is EXACTLY the same (the card's are no different) just without the extra games

well it depends on what you want it for really, if its gaming, go for the standard audigy 2 zs with its eax support, or if its just for general usage maybe follow judas' suggestion

erm.... conflict of interest.. lol...
The Hercules cards ARE for gaming.. ![]() hercules isn't just for general usage.... atm, hercules is making a killing in the DJ business with thier specifically built for DJ equipment..... although they aren't exactly amazing, they are cheap and do an excellent job as far as a fellow friend said.
