need opinions

Hi all,

Im posting this because I need advice on what sound card to buy. I dont know why i let this happen to myself because im cheap and I know better. I got suckered on an audigy LS, LOL, im dumb. It makes my games stutter and causes cpu hits. Also it messes up when i use ventrilo and sends LOUDY VERY LOUD static and my friends all get mad (anyone know how to fix that til i get a new card?).

I need this sound card for my games, I fly combat flight simulators mostly and obviously there are VERY big resource hogs. In order to have an accurate flight model in a simulator the processor has to make all the calculations in real time. Obviously PC's today cant handle this but it tries to come close. Also I use an infrared camera that track my head, this inturn moves my head in the simulator because it is first person view. This also runs in real time. I know this all might seem pointless to you but, I just want to stress the importance of my resources being freed up.

Ive had my eye on the Audigy 2 ZS platinum pro. Some friend tho have been telling me i dont need that unless im into recording? I was under the impression that by haveing the seperate decoder, I could run a digital out to that and inturn freeing up Processor. Am I wrong?

Any opinions on what card to buy, $200 and under is greatly appreciated.

Thank You very much

Look for the OEM version if you can, it's cheaper and comes without Angel of Darkness and Raven Shield.
