Amp 6ch HELP?
OK so I got it all hooked in today, its sounds great exept for one exeption... I have a audigy 2 value card and I have it all hooked in correctly because I have sound on all of my speakers and they are all work on the test, but when i get to the subwoofer test it doesnt do anything, then all my speakers make some really freaky sounds... Any idea how i can get it to work right?
After I play games and such the sub doesnt make any sounds at all... So the speakers sound very trebledyedy(sp?). HELP ME PEASE!http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...wtffffffff.jpg |

Try changing the slot its in this will increase the IRQ like for lets say 4 to about IRQ 11 that should work just right. if that does not work try getting and upsampler for drivers for the sound card you download them from. Make sure thry correspond to the OS that you are using.

Tried a different pci slot, tested it and on the callibration page for the first 3-4 seconds it sounded like it was working with my sub, THEN it changed to the really weird stuff, another big thing ive noticed is that like in ut2004 on the sp beginning movie alot of things are missing like the *click* from the empty flak cannon, and the rawr from the skarri thing. I think its that its not sending my center speaker anything either, but in the callibration it sends a signal to it fine like the rest of the speakers... Im going to try youp pax drivers next... This sucks!
EDIT: I REALLLY NEED A LINK TO THE NEWEST DRIVERS FOR AUDIGY 2 FROM youP PAX the MY DRIVERS site barly loads any on 56k! Last edited by warder; Mar 15, 2005 at 12:47 AM. |

I'm not too sure, but if you ask me, it sounds like your's is a software problem rather than hardware.
I suggest you go test it with another sound card just to make sure it isn't your sound card like djstick suggest though, go out of your way to do it if you have to. Then you can find out whether it's the amp or the sound card.

I think it is my reciever, ONE last question, can i use a male=male rca adapter and hook my sub DIRECTLY to the sound card and not do damage or does the reciever have some kind of weird decoding thing it has to do? Because what ive figured out happened is it tried to split the signal to all the speakers!
