need help with finishing project
Ive been using the onboard board sound of my abit ic7 max 3 (realtek 650) with the spdif out to my suround sound system sony 6.1 system"using 5.1 and it sounds good" , now i just ordered audigy 4 ,second external sound card since i had a yamaha back in the pentium 2 days, question is what the best way to hook it up to my stereo for music is what im using now the best way considering my reciever has a decoder for all formats or should i use a different connection ?

the decoder will only be useful for pre-recorded dolby digital/dts media (aka DVD, DVD-audio).
for games and normal usage, analog connections are the best for multichannel sound however if you are only using a stereo (2 channel) setup. Digital will be fine, either coax or optical.
