Audigy 2 speaker (settings)problems

hi guys,

I just got a audigy 2 and installed New year package on audigy 2 which it tirned the card into audigy 2zs and everything works fine except the spearkers

when i play a song on my 5.1 sorround sound system Logitech z640 i can only hear my center , front left and right speakers. i cannot hear rear left and right speakers.

But i CAN hear them if i turn up the volume to 100%

so for examples

General volume: 100%
front right 100%
front left 100%
center speaker 100%

rear right 50%
rear left 50%

so if i turn up the volume to 100% and when i hear my rear, it feels like its volume is set at 50% .

i checked the speaker settings and channel settings, everything is at max volume so yae.. any help is appreciated.

did this issue occur with any previous drivers?

actually i havent tried any other driver. that was my first driver. i may just install the official creative drivers and report back

its probably cms related. If its an mp3, you're only going to get the 3 channels in front, maybe a little vol in the back. To get it to all, go to the cms controls and set it to stereo surround. That should be in the EAX control part

Good luck. Make sure you set your speakers in the windows volume and the creative one

you do have surround turned up in the control pod right? its on your remote, center set of buttons, right hand side.

i do not have a remote. i put the option of 5.1 in the settings on speaker settings. i can only hear my front right and left and center speakers.

on your control pod, hit the LEVEL button (right hand side, 1 down) each time you press the button, it takes you to the next menu (subwoofer, center, surround, volume)
when its on surrond use the big dial in the center and turn it up, if its not already.

EDIT: i know what you are talking about. i think i made a typo. i have z640 not z680. sorry about that

anyways i think i know what the problem might be. there are three plugs that go from the z640 sorround sound to computer. a green / black/yellowishorange. do u know what yellowish orange might be.?

Green -> Front right and left
Black -> Rear right and left
Orange -> Center and Subwoofer

allright i think i fugred out the source of the problem. the speakers itself work fine however the connector on the subwoofer is probably to blame. i connected my front speaker to the rear speaker connector and they didnt work so that confirms that rear speakers connector has something to do with this. damn... and i thought it was the audigy.. i even reinstalled the windows.. waste of 3 hours...
