About new year package...

With the newyear package 1.2 can I use this driver with my existing audigy 2 value software? So it would detect it as a audigy 4, and be able to set all the effects and stuff? Or are new ones with the download? I have 56k so i have to ask before I download something thats gonna take up the phone line for an hour... thnx

EDIT: OH and what advantages will I get with these drivers over the stock ones?

Just try it out

if you don't like it you always can switch back to other driver.

it will detect it as audigy 2 zs i think.. the benifet to this is it will install Audigy 4 apps...

yeah, the sound quality is definately up as well from the standard drivers. I don't really remember but i think the NewYearPackage2005 is newer than the 1.2 warder, so get that instead

it will contain the audigy 2 software.. so befor installing the package.. remove everything including drivers and the audigy software..

what this pack includes is modded creative drivers with audiggy 4 apps. and yes it contains EAX such and such

When I install it, its like its not installing the drivers... I have an audigy 2 value, and I even try installing the drivers manually from the install directory! it says their already installed. But windows says their not.... HELP!

UHHHH I uninstalled the pax 3.89 drivers with their installers, then isntalled factory driver without the software, used the youP software and the only diffence I can tell is that it fixed it to where I dont have to turn on bass redirection to hear bass from my sound system! But Im guessing the drivers are why I dont hear a difference at all. Why wont they work with the audigy 2 value (oem)(im a cheap bastage)?

OK so I did a MIX! I downloaded the newyear pack and for some reason the drivers dont install on the windows driver list thus they dont work with the AUDIGY 2 VALUE!(please fix this!) I know this is caused by a different arcitecture than normal audigy 2's. So I downloaded the 1.2 drivers and installed them and Im using the NEW YEAR package software with them. I would really like to get the 3.89 drivers to work. How much better are they than the 1.2 drivers?

Hi all PAX/NewYear 1.x users.

I'd like to see some RMAA -results with all graphics included.
It would be nice if you run all tests for 16 and 24 bit modes (44.1, 48 and 96 kHz).
You can download the testing software and information needed to set up SB card for testing from RMAA site.
