Pissed SoundFont problems: vanished with Audigy 2 drivers

Okay, here it goes: since I started reading and posting in this forum that I know that I've got a defective Audigy 1. My SoundFont refused to work until... YES! UNTIL I installed the Audigy 2 drivers........
What the f**k is going on? I though that it was an hardware problem, and I was really thinking to get it back to the store... Now... Yes, I surely heard the diference between the two drivers... So I'm not thinking anymore of gettin' rid of it. Anyway, the function on Power DVD XP "By SPDIF" refuses to work like the software decompression: altough the improves, the sound continues jogging (less, but jogging... )
So, did I just discovered that the 1st drivers for Audigy 1(the nowdays ones), has a bug that they fixed up (and did not know) with the drivers for Audigy 2?! Why do I think like this? Simple: They are accepting older Audigy's 1(like mine), and replacing it with the "brand new" Audigy 1 version. They also say that:

"A DEFECTIVE card can display the following symptoms:

(...)

Creative Diagnostic reports "SoundFont Error".

(...)

Defective card Registry entries:

[HKEY__LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\ PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0004&SUBSYS_00401102&REV_03]
"Creative Audigy processor"

[HKEY__LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\ PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_4001&SUBSYS_00000000&REV_00]
"PCI OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller"

There is NO entry for the gameport.

(...)

Defective ?!?, What, how, why ???

What we know:

It's not OS specific, Windows XP pro/home, 2000 & 98/ME are reported.
It's not a spefic type of audigy card. (f**kin' LIARS)
It's not mobo specific, Abit, MSI, ASUS, Epox & SOYO have been reported, although the ABIT-KR7A-R & MSI K7t266Pro2 boards have the highest incidence.

and most important:
(this one is good!!!) ONCE THE CARD HAS BECOME DEFECTIVE, IT CANNOT BE REPAIRED BY A DRIVER UPDATE !!!!!!

(...)

The R132 resistor

Someone found out that some of the replacement Audigy's sent by Creative have 1 component more on the card, which may explain why some cards work and others become defective again.
(...)On the non-working Audigy's, this component is not present (in red in the following image)."

Where do I wan't to get: there's no R132 resistor on mine... So I conclude that I have a defective one... BUT WAIT! I've just made a driver update! And the problem disappeard...
Creative sucks...

Thumbs Down! Not really...

I think with a little luck you'll get a perfect brand new version of Audigy 1, because the first version is no long being made. Anyway, since I've installed these drivers, everything is just fine! My sound is very nice, and my speakers "rumbles" like never!!!

My audigy has always been perfect. My Soundblaster 16 also works perfectly .....
