Realtek ALC850 8ch Audio

Since SPDIF can only produce 2channel sound I was wondering how am I supposed to get 8 channels from my PC?

There isnt 8 speaker inputs on the back only 4!!!

WTF!

System Specs

if its 8 channel out, there sohuld be 4 seperate stereo jacks for you to use

There is 4 in total, side surround, rear surround , centre/subwoofer and front speaker out.

Also the Realtek Speaker configuration doesnt have a SPDIF option.

System Specs

there you go - you have your 8 outputs there

each of those jacks is a stereo output. To connect to your receiver use stereo jack to 2X mono rca cables

what if I want Dolby Digital 5.1 sound ?
surely SPDIF would produce that if there was an AC3 encoded source?
