Disabling 5.1 sound on nForce 2 board
Hey all,
I'm wokring on a mini system designed specifically for emulation. Everything is going great, except for the sound. I want the sound to output via my stereo system (using a phono-to-RCA cord). The problem is that I'm only getting left channel sound because I cannot disable the 5.1 speaker setup. I'm truly baffled by this problem...I've tried the newest drivers on nvidias website, the manufacturers drivers, and remixed ones. I've tweaked every setting in nvmixer and windows sound....nothing. The really weird thing is that I am able to get something like this to work on my main rig and everything works flawlessly. I'm running Windows 2000 on an Albatron KM18G Pro. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |

phono to RCA
is that dual RCA or only a single RCA plug? for analog stereo audio you need two RCA connections

Single phono to two RCA plugs....I've gotten this exact same setup to work on my main rig and I cannot for the life of me get it to work on the other one...

Checked em....they are all right in the center. The sound works fine if I shift it over to the left, but it completely cuts out if I shift it to the right.

I've tried two different cables. The one from my main machine (which has worked and is working) and a brand new one from Radioshack.
