I have a Radeon 64 DDR VIVO and Im new to capturing video with audio.
I know how to set everything up to capture video from my VCR,My question is What type of cable do I use to capture the audio with the video? My vcr has a audio in and out(white),and a video in and out(Yellow). I want to run a cable from the Audio out on the VCR to the "Line In" on my Turtle Beach Sound Card. that way i capture both audio and video from my vcr... What kind of cable do I need to look for? thanks for any help. |

I think the cable you are looking for is an RCA-to-Mini stereo adapter cable, sometimes called a "Y"-cable.
It has a mini-stereo plug on one end, and 2 RCA plugs (red & white) on the other end. There's a pic here: http://www.cablestogo.com/product.as...2009&sku=03178 Then plug in the white into your VCR, and the mini-stereo into your sound card. One thing though, your VCR is pretty low-end, having only the white (left) output. This only means you will end up with mono sound, not stereo; just the left channel will be recorded. . . . Unless there's a cable that takes mono RCA and converts to mini-stereo . . I dunno.
