Front Audio Ports + Audigy 2 ZS

Does anyone know if I can connect the front audio ports on my Antec Super Lanboy case to my Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS somehow? I've got the onboard sound device disabled in the BIOS.

If you have typical 1/8" jacks, then it would be easy. Just connect them on apropriate outputs.
What connectors does your case offer?

Unfortunatly you can't connect the front panel audio to the Audigy cards. The onboard connectors on the Audigy card is digital, while you need an analog connector for the front panels.

There are 3 ways around this though: 1) buy the Audigy drive or similar drive bay that has a digital converter. 2) you can alter a 1/8th connector and attach it to the front panel wires. This will allow you to extend the cable to the back panel of the sound card, basically a 'pass through' cable. 3) you can solder the front panel wires to the PCB of the soundcard off of the connectors for the back panel connector (the points that the back panel connector attach to the PCB of the sound card).

Sorry, but that's about the only way to do this.

if you front panel has the standard audio jacks, use a free PCI slot to pass these cables out of the rear of the case and into the jacks on the soundcard
