??? Audigy2 with 7.1 speakers?

Hi!

I've read some posts about modified drivers but the only thing I want is 7.1 instead of 6.1 for my A2!
Is it necessary to download these mod-drivers or is there an easier way to accomplish this?

At the moment I am using the new Beta drivers from Creative:
5.12.31.1100 dated 2005/03/28

I am satisfied with these and don't need any special functions except the 7th speaker... :-)

Would be very glad if anybody could help me!

Thanks,
g orgo

there is no way because there is no hardware support

unless you get a secondary soundcard and some internal wiring

Yes, you can get 7.1 if you add a new DAC to your Audigy2 as dj_stick says.
the sound card with SPDIF_IN is able to be connected to your sound card and then you get 7.1.
