"How to" site for PAX drivers
Hi
First of all I'd like to say thanks to classic_leon for making it possible for these drivers to be avaiable for us to use. When I first stumbled upon this forum a few months ago I found myself wandering through many threads and eventually had to read all of the NEW YEAR PACKAGE for SBLive/Audigy/Audigy2/Audgiy2ZS series thread in order to get my head around what these drivers are and how they could be used with my card. I recently told my friend about these drivers and his first response was "where can I download them at?". I started to give him some explanation, when I realize that the easiest way to educate him was to give him the forum website and tell him to read the above noted thread. He came back to me and asked if I realized that there were almost 40 pages. He eventually went through the thread and loves the drivers. I have also used the KX drivers in the past and what was nice about those was that the KX Project has their own website with information and download. It would be nice if someone was able to post some info on their website for newbes in regards to this driver. Iam not indicating download capabilities but some What?, How to?, Where? information rather than having to scrol through 43 pages on a thread. Classic_leon, you may already have information regarding these drivers on your website mydrivers.com, however it is in Chinese. Maybe that is the way to go, if the website was in english. Sorry for the long post but I feel for the newbes who are looking for information when they are told to go read a particular thread. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Thank you, I'll try to improve my post. And I've been considering establishing English website but I have been busyto do it, anyway I will try to host one if I'm convenient.

since it seems my site is the main download, i have no problem posting better info if somebody cares to write it. I need to update my webpage anyways with prettier menus and a better layout.
mostly i give a few tips, but i point back to these forums. http://ordorica.org Last edited by RCOrdorica; May 10, 2005 at 10:56 AM. |

Now that the new software is out and drivers are comming, it may be a good time to look at this venture. I do not have a website and my knowledge of the PAX drivers is very limited however, I can do what ever I am capable of to help out. I guess my role here could be "expert newbe consultant". LOL.
Anyway, from a newbes perspective, I think it would be nice to have a place where people can go to get info regarding these drivers (which are the best thing since sliced bread) instead of having to get pieces of info from multi threads\posts coupled with people's commentary.

Well... Software is out and drivers are here. Way to go Youp and Leon. I have one question about this forum. Can a thread\post be started such that no one can reply to it? I know it sounds odd but this could be the answer for newbes looking for info. If the info about the new drivers and software (ie. what drivers, software, patches, installization procedure etc) could be posted by Classic leon on a thread that no replys could be made and only him could make revisions, then it would be as good as if it was on a website as there would not be all the commentary in between. Also, it then stays on the forum site.
It would not be that difficult if this could be done, some copy and paste to the didicated post (if it existed). Just a thought.
