Ya, there are drivers in the CD ISO, but these drivers are not modified to be detected as an Audigy4.

There will be a latest set of PAX drivers, YouP-PAX-A4 v1.00 that is newer that YouP PAX 4.00 released I said.

You can use speaker settings of New Year 2005 package instead of, which is the same speaker settings as Audigy4's. But mixer is different. maybe the iso spoils during uncompressing. WinRAR is able to uncompress the software zipped by 7-zip.

Anyway, I don't think it has anything to do with the uncompressing of the CD image as it is the ISO itself that is compressed, not the individual files within the image. My guess is that either, the drivers, as you said yourself is not recognized properly, meaning there is a clash between the actual hardware (A2 zs) and the drivers (saying it should be an A4) or it is as simple as that the drivers clashes with my previous drivers.

I suggest you not to choose to install drivers which is bundled in this ISO during installation and install the drivers solely. This ISO is modified but the drivers inside is not. Did you install that drivers of this ISO?

I have audigy 2 ZS with latest PAX drivers. If it just install the software "theoretically" everything should be okay?

Classic Leon: I did not install the drivers when installing the rest of the software. When the mixer and the speaker settings did not work I installed the drivers on the ISO image without uninstalling the previous drivers.

I'm soon off work and will make an uninstallation of everything incl the drivers and report back as soon as I get home.

Nope, it doesn't work no matter what drivers I use. The mixer and speaker settings complain that they don't work with the hardware. I think the 1st june drivers might be needed.

I got it to work after installing and unistalling it three times. The thing is that you need to unistall every creative thing you have in your PC before trying to install this package, which was something I didn't do the first 2 times. Previously I had the New Year Package, but I ditched it in favor of the OEM creative stuff because I had problems with the Beta Driver (for Doom: RoE) and the New Year Pack. So I unistalled everything and went ahead to install this one. One thing to remember is that you must delete the creative registry keys that classic leon mentions on the New Year Package thread and I also recommend using Driver Cleaner Pro. Anyway, during the install I came up with a few errors. It says that some stuff for the speakers couldn't be installed. I completed the install and reboot. After that I tried opening the Creative Diagnostics Tab and it didn't work, same thing happened with the THX and EAX consoles. It said that the hardware could not be located. So I tried RCOrdorica's tip about doing a Repair of the installation. After that was done, everything started working flawlessly. Even the drivers of the ISO are installed. I know from classic leon's post that they're not the best option (in drivers) but I will keep them until the package drivers are released in June 1st.

Ok, I have absolutely NO idea what I just did but it works now... well, kinda.

The mixer (to me the most important of the two) works. The speaker setting works. Once. Then both the mixer and the speaker settings go into a coma and refuses to start. I reboot. The mixer works. It works as long as I don't start the speaker settings.

i like them, but there are some bugs: whem im in the mixer(volume etc.) I cant open the THX in the taskbar of the mixer, it isnt there?

There is a bug for Audigy/Audigy2/Audigy2 ZS (not SBLive!): after you run THX console once, Speak Setting and Mixer cannot be used. You can fix it with A4_Patch.rar (or http://www.cnbeta.com/club/job.php?a...=1858&aid=1045):
1. download and extract A4_Patch.rar (or http://www.cnbeta.com/club/job.php?a...=1858&aid=1045) to 2 files, SpkSet.exe and SurMixer.exe.
2. Then copy SpkSet.exe to "X:\Program Files\Creative\SBAudigy4\Speaker Settings\" and overwrite the same file. Copy SurMixer.exe to "X:\Program Files\Creative\SBAudigy4\Surround Mixer" and overwrite the same file.

QUESTION FOR CLASSIC LEON :

How can I use the good old Speaker Calibration wizard with the new A4 Soft/Drivers? I installed it but there is no option for "Speaker Calibrator" under the "Speaker Settings". The THX calibrator sucks because 1) It's harder to use, 2) I don't understand it 3) It's THX so for movies, I need to calibrate for optiman DVD-A playback. So is there any way of using old Calibration wizard with the new package?
