Moddified Audigy 4 Pro ISO is out! Download is now available

I am on dial up, and I am not really interested in downloading 300MB for the software, but I am very interested in trying out the YouP drivers. Can I install the modded YouP Audigy 4 drivers, and still use my default Creative Audigy 2 ZS software?

sorry about that.

some people get blue screens it seems to be something with the openal libary ..some people have luck chaning the openal dll's while others don't..

consider installing spkcal beta untill there is a better solution for the blue screen issue

(you can always remove spkcal in Add or Remove Programs - Creative Speaker Calibrator if its not working for you)

I used isobuster to "extract" all of the files from the A4.iso and the folder is there. I then burned the extracted files onto a CD. I would show you a print screen of it but I am at work right now. All I can tell you is that I have the speaker calibration screen and it works just fine. The only issue I have is with smart recorder not launching when I click on it. The process shows that it's running but no GUI. I can't even end task on the process...I have to reboot to "kill" it. Very weird. Other than that, everything works perfect.

Thanks for the updated Speaker Cal Zip. It saves me from downloading the Aud 4 ISO again!

It's strange that your ISO has it. I have the thing burned to a cdr and it does not contain the Speaker Calibration folder. I have also manually extracted the ISO with Winrar and it has the same folders (no Speaker Calibrator). That's why I was wondering whether there were 2 versions of the ISO download.

Is your ISO the actual Audigy 4 cd? Because the one I'm talking about is the modified ISO by PAX. As far as I (and others here) can tell, that one does not contain that Speaker Calibrator folder.

Perhaps yours is an actual Audigy 4 cd ISO, but PAX's mod doesn't contain it?

By the way, I wouldn't really miss it. I think most of the functions are duplicated in the THX Console. Also, I just have a 2.1 speaker system (PCWorks) and Sony MDR V6 headphones. I don't even use the calibration programs. But I'm sure they are useful for 4.1 and up systems. I just want to be sure to get the whole driver/software package so whatever options are mean't to be there are there.

I'll start messing aroung with it as soon as I'm done with a project I'm using the system for. I don't want to risk possibly needing to format right now.

I've never actually tried the UPAX stuff. I have worked a lot with the SBLive/Audigy to Audigy 2/Audigy 2 ZS methods of using the official Creative drivers and software and just patching them. I was never satisfied after trying those. always going back to using the official Creative methods. However, now that UPAX has evolved and matured in his methods I sure would like to give them a whirl! I'm the kind of guy who waits at least a year to a year and a half before buying a chipset/motherboard. I usually wait until the product is nearly discontinued from production before buying it. That way I get the perfected version! It does keep me a little bit behind the times, but I like stability!

So far I love these new drivers

and Audigy 4 pack I only need turn volume up 4% and there loud still

everthing works great so far

To bad someone can't turn this into linux version hehe

even though I haven't really try it yet because I lost my other linux program on my 6 gig hard drive to xp some reason it for over power it and boot screen not showing up anymore. Oh well going try driffter linux program.

I am downloading another A4.iso from the torrent i found on this post. People reported having and not having SpkrCal and in the .iso i have, i didnt get it. I'll try if this one has it.

i have gotten my a4 pax iso from the torrent .. (it didnt have SpkrCal in it)

being bored as i am ..i decided to look at the a4 iso in hex editor i searched for any ascii strings matching spkcal didnt find anything

however when i search for other strings such as "SpkSet, EAXCon (or any other file on the cd)" it will show results ..

so in my conclusion the iso i have doesnt have spkcal ..never did it was either

deleted (maybe by accident?) then recompressed.
or it was never there. RCOrdorica can you look at both iso's the torrent and the one hosted on your webserver and see if any is missing the folder "Spkcal" in "cd:\audio\"

to bad the other link is down now ..so i cannot test the other file.

The iso most of you have is directly from me... where you either downloaded it off my website or in the torrent (also hosted by me).

I got the iso directly from YouP's ftp, or was it classic_leon's ftp? anyways.. I didn't modify the file in any way. I just compressed it using 7zip. I also tested my compressed file and it checks out fine, so there should be no corruption.

the other file floating around i guess is not pax??? nobody told me about an updated iso.

yea thats what i dont understand .. the file isnt curupted but some people are saying their iso comes with spkcal.

I know the one i got from your torrent is missing this so im confused where these people gotten their iso's from and why they have the spkcal program.

i will need proof from the people who have it with some screen shots ..and maybe the link where you have gotten the iso. since i have tried both the torrent and the other link (not to mention waste bandwidth) and none have spkcal.

i am thinking maybe people are confusing the a2 iso with the a4 iso ..or maybe pax newyear files.

I also got the ISO directly from classic_leon's ftp and it was also missing the SpkCal. I beleive that right now the only ISO that has the SpkCal is the New Year 05 ISO. Anyway that one locks up every A4 application on my PC.

Hello!

I have a problem with the new driver. I removed previous driver (Youp ZS v4.0), uninstalled New Year completely, run driver cleaner, removed everything.

After installing the hacked audigy4 CD and the new a4 v1.01 driver, i have an unknown device in device manager:
Device Instance Id: SW\{8B26C209-7DD3-41AF-923A-011197724466}\CTMSFSYN

I think that this is the creative synthesizer or something, but I can't install it. Plesae help me. Everything is working fine except this problem.

I need some help... I can't change the bass, its greyed out for me, but I can change it by going to the control panel. But everytime I restart my computer, I have to do it all over again, any ideas?

Just used driverheaven cleaner pro.
Just download the A4 package and then installed with out the drivers then install pax drivers.
Make sure you have Sp2 installed for the drivers it's a recommed.

I think that if there's a porblem it should be on the A4 software and not on the drivers per se. Guys, I know its fustrating to have and error here and there but we should at least be grateful that we can use A4 Pro software on our cards and best of all for free.

Anyway, does anyone have a link for the 1.02 driver?

Use flashget and you can download it faster, 'cause it downloads more parts simultaneously (up to 10).

Blackboost, I don't really care but your card isn't an actuall Audigy 4 Pro, if you have the software and even if it says "Audigy4", physically your card doesn't have 113dB clarity. But, I am just sayin', write what you damn please

You can try freash download manger I was getting more kick out that one

about 3-5kb but some time it stalls on me so I just close and restarted all time. That time I got in an hour 10mins or so

Guys, I know its fustrating to have and error here and there but we should at least be grateful that we can use A4 Pro software on our cards and best of all for free. Anyway, does anyone have a link for the 1.02 driver?

But, I am just sayin', write what you damn please __________________
