Multiple Sound Cards - One Timing Crystal
I saw some older posts about this topic, but was wondering if anyone has experimented with this more recently.
I'm trying to run multiple SB Live cards connected via SPDIF (3 cards for a total of 6 simultaneous analog inputs) using kX drivers. I'm wondering if anyone else using this setup has tried hardwiring the timing crystal from the master card to the two slave cards to get a totally sync'd master clock. Also, I'm wondering if this is even necessary (or if the timing irregularities are so small that it's unnoticable). Thanks- Jerry |
