Questions. Such an informative title...
As the title suggests, I have some questions.
So I'm planning on buying some 5.1 speakers (Logitech probably) and was wondering a few things. Z-5300 vs Z-5500 Is there a big enough difference for the price difference? I'm going to use these speakers to listen to music (loudly) and play games (not as loud). I might watch some movies too. Since I'm rather poor I would be able to get the Z-5300s now but if I wanted the Z-5500s I would have to wait a while for some money. Then there is another problem Sound Blaster Live! vs Audigy 2 ZS I currently have a Sound Blaster Live!. I was wondering if I bought one of the above speaker sets would an Audigy 2 ZS make a big difference in sound? If I buy the Z-5300s I can buy an Audigy 2 ZS right away, but if I choose Z-5500s I would have to wait even longer! I also heard there was some kind of problem with the Z-5500s and the Audigy 2 ZS (something about Digital decoding)? Is this true or am I highly misinformed? Thank you, FireElements |

My best advice would be to go to a store where you can listen to them side by side and decide which one will fit your needs better.
Myself, I don't like the sound of any of Logitech's stuff for most of my music, but it might suit you just fine. Live! to Audigy 2 ZS is a significant upgrade, go for it if you can find a good deal on the ZS card. There shouldn't be any problem with the Z-5500 speakers and the ZS card... the easiest way is to hook everything up via analog, and let the card do all the decoding.
