Here is what I did:
1. Removed all creative software by add\remove, driver cleaner Pro, and manually deleted files left behind 2. Installed YouP PAX A4v1.02 3. Installed the latest You PAX Audigy Pro 4 ISO software (without the drivers) Here is what I have: 1. Sound 2. Indication that I have Audigy 4 [8400] in sound and audio devices and in Creative Audio Console 3. Creative Media source "Go" with the following tabs and info when opened: Programs tab---> creative mediasource audio converter, and creative mediasource player. Product settings tab---->Creative audio console. Product support tab----->Product regestration I do not have a creative mixer, only windows or any other creative program ie speaker calibration, and some others that I cannot remember that I know that I had when I had the PAX Newyear2005 installed. It seems as though the driver installed OK but not all the software. Is it possible to use the A4 driver with the New Year 2005 software? I thought I installed things correctly. Can someone give me some direction? Thanks Tappy P.S. I have an A2 zs Plant.

I uninstalled the software and the drivers are still working. Is there any advantage (performance of driver) in using the creative software? I still have the ability to select recording \playback devices in the windows mixer (not as pretty) and able to see multiple inputs in Sonar when using ASIO or ASIO2.
I generally use Winamp for all other video\audio files and my primary purpose of the driver is for music production. Then, maybe I do not need the software. What do people think?

Using New Year 2005 pack with YouP PAX A4 1.02 will work on your PC.
Do this: 1. Remove all creative software by add\remove, driver cleaner Pro, and manually deleted files left behind 2. Install YouP PAX A4v1.02 and re-boot PC 3. Choose customized installation to install the latest You PAX Audigy Pro 4 ISO software without choosing the drivers (but choose all other options) If you still do not have full functions after installation listed above, open Audigy Pro 4 ISO again and click fix installation to get full fucntions.
