Battlefield 2 problem

Hey all im not sure how many of you have tried the new BF2 demo but there is a problem, a big one. I have the latest release of the drivers, and a Audigy 2 ZS, when I enable Hardware audio with quality on high it messes up. The sounds like gunfire, planes, and everything else are fine. But when someone uses a voice button it sounds like a cd player skipping it happens both with EAX and without EAX. But Software audio works great.

Thanks

Yeah everyone has this problem, there's no known cure yet...all you can do is stick to software sound

Is the problem only with Kx drivers or Creative's?

It's not a driver issue, it's a bug in the game. Should be fixed in retail...

I know it really stinks and to me hardware sounds more clear. Does this happen with the creative drivers also?

You just have an Audigy 2? I got an Audigy 2 ZS and running the latest drivers, and the odd broken sound happens only in Hardware.

I dont have the problem either. Running latest betadrivers.
The latest betas even mention BF2:
  • Provides full OpenAL / EAX ADVANCED HD support when used with the DOOM 3(tm) 3 1.3 patch.
  • Includes EAX 4.0 support for the new DOOM 3: Resurrection of Evil(tm) expansion pack.
  • Improves performance of all OpenAL game titles, including Battlefield 2(tm).
I run high, hardware + EAX, and it sounds amazing, with no glitches at all.

I'm having a similar issue but with my Audigy 1 running the PAX A2 2005 drivers. It seems like the only sound i'm missing is the sound of my own gun firing. I formatted/reinstalled a few nights ago and before this I wasnt having the problem....then again I was using an older version of the PAX drivers I think.

Anyone else have the same issue?
