solution for shut-down hang
Some guys including me have found the shut-down hang iusse of Audigy2 with Audigy4 drivers and apps in that you are not convenient to use PC. I post the solution now.
How does it happend? That's caused by serveral Creative apps themselves...not YouP PAX apps or drivers. -Speaker Calibration -Creative Entertainment Center (the file, DLLML.exe) How does Creative corp. fix this issue? Creative itself removed Speaker Calibration (Spk Cal) from their Audigy4 Pro Instllation and Drivers CD. That's why you guys didn't find Spk Cal on hacked A4 ISO. What shall we do to solve this terrible problem? We can remove Speaker Calibration or Creative Entertainment Center (but functions of Audigy2/Audigy2 ZS Platinum are disabled) or remove the file DLLML.exe (C:\Program Files\Creative\Shared Files\Module Loader\DLLML.exe, this file is loaded when system startup and enabling a small screen show for disc type while you play DTS/Dolby by hardware decoding) Choose any one solution above to solve the system hang issue.

or
modify registry (but it does not work all the time): 1 find "HKEY-CURRENT-USER\Control Panel\Desktop" 2 change "WaitToKillAppTimeout" to "1000" that means system shut down in 1 sec. 3 change "HungAppTimeout" to "1000" |

Yes, you are. Remote and the speaker calibrator can be used.

Try removing chkcolor.exe (or something like that, can't really remember) from the Startup in msconfig.

According to http://www.programchecker.com/file/1831.aspx it's some graphic checker loader, I really don't know what is it. But disabling it did fix my startup crashes although i'm running windows xp.
