SB Live! mod help
I recently downloaded the PAX Drivers for my SB Live! card from Ordorica. However, after installing them I lost 5.1 functionality. Afterwards I was reading the tutorial created by leon and I thought I'd give it a shot modding it to an Audigy 4. I got the ISO downloaded, uninstalled all of my previous Creative things, but when I run the install off the iso it says I do not have a valid product. According to his tutorial SB Live! users should be able to use the ISO.Any help, especially from classic leon would be greatly appreciated!
If it is not possible for me to softmod to an Audigy 4, any info on how to softmod it to anything above Audigy would be appreciated as well. Last edited by Slander; Jul 7, 2005 at 03:25 AM. |

Just tried the New Years 2005 package, during the installation I got another 'wrong product' error. I used driver cleaner, but nothing seems to work. Like I said before, any help would be appreciated.
Also, when I use YouP-PAX-VIv2.2 I only get 2.1 sound. |

After you've installed the drivers did you go and configure your speakers to be as 5.1? Go to windows Control Panel>Sound and under the speaker settings click advanced. Make sure those are set to 5.1. Then open up Creative Audio Console and make sure your speaker configuration there is set to 5.1 Reboot, and check if in both places it still says 5.1, if it does go play something through mediasource. Make sure you turn on CMSS, CMSS2 or Stereo Surround so you will have 5.1 sound

When I went into the Audio Console, I only had the option for 4.1 or 2.1. Also, when I tried switching it through the Windows Control Panel, it still wouldn't work.
However now I'm on a fresh version of Windows, just formatted. If anyone could tell me a way to softmod it to an Audigy 2 it would be appreciated. I have an Audigy 2 ZS CD sitting next to me. |

I have equal problems.
I have a Sound Blaster 5.1 Digital (exactly a SB0220 buy in Spain). Install and running perfectly the drivers YouP-PAX VI 2.2 , but only have 2/2.1 and 4/4.1 speakers (too headphones) in Creative Audio Console panel. When i tried install NewYear2005 (or NewYear2005-AX) appears a windows say me that i'm not have a valid product when tried install the soft of Creative (for Audigy 2). Solutions ?????? Thanks. |
