Help!
Before I reinstalled windows, when playing an mp3 or any two channel stereo file my soundcard played the sound in both front and rear speakers. Now, after reinstalling windows, I installed everything the same (drivers, software and etc.) but now I only get sound from FL and FR speakers. Unless I turn on emulation such as CMSS 3D, Prologic II or Neo 6, I can't hear sounds from the rear speakers. I used to hear the sound from both fron and rear ones without having to turn on CMSS and etc. Yes the center speaker didn't produce sound because the audio source wasn't 5.1. So to wrap it all up, my soundcard stopped doubling the stereo ouput resulting in the rear speakers no to make any sound. How do I fix it?

in your old install, either your software upmixed it or the soundcard did (cmss etc)
re-activate one of those modes

Lol thats the problem, it didnt have any options turned on. It "just" duplicated stereo in the rear speakers. With CMSS the center channel works as weel, there it didnt. Same stereo signal came out of the fron and rear but not from the center because the original singnal wasnt multichannel. So im working how the hell did the software/card doubled the stereo...

Yoo, Bro maybe I can help you man... maybe...
I have Creative Inspire Digital 5700, sometimes in my country's wet tropical climate or just in my humble opinion , the connector of my speakers could cause a jammed signal.First try to check the connection of your speakers, maybe you can try to press the test button on your speakers main module (an external decoder perhaps). Do they make proper sound signals in each satellite speakers ? If they were then you didn't have to be worried about your basic hardware speaker connections. Maybe the problem sources were made by the cable from your PC's sound blaster. Try to short the connector pin with a metal object, such as screwdriver or something else. Maybe you can try to press your thumb on it, but you might be feelin a little bit shaky caused by the electric static shock just kiddin about it Bro.In my experience, sometimes in a very wet climate time such as rain seasons can caused a sympton like that. Well that's all for now Bro, maybe and I hope you can have an enlightment from this forum. Goodluck, hope you can have a solution soon.

some playback apps will duplicate the sound, where as some will not, without any driver settings
