Reccomended Drivers?
Hi guys,
I just got my Audigy 2 ZS, but i have been adivsed that here is the place to look for the best drivers. I'm after drivers that are the best suited to gaming, since this is what i use my PC for. Should i try to convert to the Audigy 4 Pro, is it worthwhile or does it creat lots of problems? Any adivce is appreciated! |

Creates no problems really to software mod the 2ZS into an A4. I did have some issues with DTS but I am quite sure that is my own fault.
Quality-wise I'd say there are no major leaps in either performance or sound quality. Sure, the A4 drivers might add some dB to the output but the quality of the sound is still restricted to the DACs and ADCs of the original soundcard (and not to mention the source!). It's not like it will magically unlock EAX5.0 all of a sudden. However, that being said I think you should try it out. The A4 software looks prettier than the 2ZS which in comparison is kinda bland which is an added bonus.
