Sound Blaster Notebook

Hey all, I'm planning on getting the PCMCIA SB Audigy2 ZS for my laptop. Does anyone have any views or personal reviews of this card??

for quality, this is probably the best way to go
of course there are USB cards too, but with a ntoebook it's much easier to have the PCMCIA card in rather than having a seperate device that may or may not attach to the laptop

a set if good headphones would be a nice addition

right now a have a set of acoustic authority and sony headphones. ON my desktop I have Cambridge Soundworks THX. I just haven't had the need to upgrade my laptop speakers since it's only a AC 97 soundcared anyway. MAybe I should get some digital speakers...what do you think?

Also, will I have to disbale the onboard sound before I install??

you don't have to, but you may get a higher overall performance if you do

did tou know where i can dowload the installation CD for zs notebook? i bought a ZS from ebay but the seller forgot to put the CD in the box!

Hey, I'm picking up my card today, but I'd say if yuo head over to creative.com and go to the download driver section you should be able to find it there...or maybe just Google it.
