Ok, I'm gonna DL them and report back later.

Btw, I know why mine .283 were 25mb. They are english only, and the 120mb ones are multilingual. Just a FYI.

Thanks Necrosis.

I think you don't have those MoBo model Live! cards and some PCI256 cards - EMU10k1 based.

I hope it will work too.
What about apps - have you tried them (they work to some people, and don't to some other)?
I use the old version pf audioHQ (1.10.22) and surround mixer (2.00.29)

They work great with my DTT3500, so ... maybe i'll try the new apps, one day.

Bedeox stated that new apps do not work on Live! (stupid !)
Stick with old apps if they work good.

No, no, no...
120MB is English with Apps (wrong filename)
25MB is badly compressed driver only package (which I compressed down to 10MB)

i'am back at home, .323 works fine on the sb live! 1024 here (CT4832)

So for me, work great on CT4670 and 4832. My others comps haven't got CL sound cards.

Conclusion for a SBLive Value user?

I have WinXP sp1 and SB Live Value.

After a crash while tweaking volumes and some apps that don't work in the 323 driver, and realizing it doesn't give Asio support for my board, I'll keep the apps from Compaq's 252 pack and the 283 A2 driver.

It's your choice. I will update the header post regarding apps thing. After all, this is for Audigy2, and the fact that it works on Live! is strange, not the fact that it doesn't.

Oh I see now. I found the drivers only which are compressed better (11mb). That's what I need anyway. Those Creative apps suck anyway.

I downloaded the driver pack and gonna install it now.

Reporting back sir! I DLed the .323 drivers and installed them using CTZAPXX.exe w/o having to use that utility you posted. These drivers work nicely and everything seems to be in order.

As of the Creative apps, I don't need them and wont install them. All I need is the apps that came with the latest offical SBLive Value driver/apps pack from Creative (Mixer, Recorder, AudioHQ)

Besides, what are those new CT's apps? Is any of them useful?

Here's a pic:

Vecky, nothing new in the latest apps I think.
Tell me later if the drivers are completely stable in your computer.

Sometimes good looks aren't everything. I don't need them, only drivers are fine. Thanks a lot man.

Okay, I listened to music in Winamp, works great, no probs. As of games, tried UT, UT2003, Age of Mythology, NFS Hot Pursuit 2, Age of Wonders 2, GTA3 and Heroes 4. Sound works nicely, no crashes... completely stable.

Sound in old DOS games works too.

Do you need to have the Creative apps installed in order to have EAX in games??

No, you don't need. But you need them to choose soundfonts, select number of speakers or assign environment and special effects.

Good to know creative still can't code drivers worth a damn.
I updated mine as well after installing DX9. However, the only problem I have is with Media Jukebox 8. It skimps and clicks when I do anything with the control applets for the card.

You really shouldn't thank me. Those drivers are not multilingua. I made the mistake of rar'ing my original english only "whole" install setup. The entire install CD rared is around 500 meg.l

I don't have any where that large to upload it to. If I had a place I'd surely do it.

P.S. I'm also thinking of doing sort of a slipstream w/ the latest updates too.

Finally I got this to work. Thanks for a wonderfull support and release.

Necrosis, I might have a place to temporarily host the multilanguage and slipstreamed version.

If you don't have anything else....
maybe www.fdrive.com is a solution. Speed is quite good and you have 200mb per account.

I think this is really new, riv@nvx. It is not 5.12.01, but 5.12.02. It's at 70% complete here, the link is very slow.

Is this a Winamp 3 only incident? No other program seems to like the 4 channel either.

Anyone else have this?

I got the same thing here, also four speakers, with all stereo (2 channels only) audio sources. (Line In, MP3,...)

I have a Audigy OEM and XP SP1.
