Speaker suggestions

HI guys,

My 7 year old pair of Cambridge Soundworks are dying on me, so I'm in the market for new speakers. I'll thinking of spending around $50 for a good 2.1 system.

Now, I'm in a college apartment setting, so max volume won't matter that much as the walls here are paper thin. I'll mainly use these for music / movies with some gaming on the side. I've been looking around, and have narrowed it down to between the logitech X-230, the logitech Z-3, the Altec Lansing VF2221, Creative Inspire 2.1 2400, Creative T3000, and if I can swing it for under $50, I found some JBL Creature 2's.

Right now, I"m leaning towards either the Creature 2's or the Z-3's. Does anyone have experience with any of these? Any other sets I should be looking at?
