Hi peepz!

You know there was nice iso for Audigy4 series made work for Audigy2..
But now Sound Blaster X-Fi Elite Pro is OUT!! <img>

K I was wrong above, it's out now. I tell you what I will do if no one else has yet. Once I get my new card, I will upload the entire install CD incase any one wants to ticker with it.

All apps can be installed but the-three-modes are not working, b'coz Audigy/Audigy2/Audigy2 ZS/Audigy4 Pro's hardware does not support it. And the worst thing is Creative Mixer has been removed...

I think it's worthy to buy the cheapest edit of X-FI.

but two kinds of hardware are too different to be modded. I guess it's the end of Audigy series.

the new CL cards havea completely different chip to the live/audigy series, it's not like the drivers will be compatible

I heard that:
There are currently four models available in the X-Fi series, to be released in the second week of September 2005.

This means the ISO are out like [/color][color=#999933]Necrosis[/color] told. But it has not been made work for USUAL Audigy series sound cards.. :-(

Hey btw. I got "access" to the latest driver on creatives public site.

Don't know about the X-FI apps, but the drivers currently up for download from Creative installed no problem at all on my Audigy ES (no modding needed, just installed through Device Manager),

and using the A4 apps.

Edit: If you have a look in the wdma_emu.inf, you will see device id's for most cards (Live, Audigy 1, LS, 2, etc).

Hi all
I have intalled new X-Fi driver into my Audigy ES like Stormy13 did, and it works fine with A4 apps. One thing that I did is to succesfully upgrade Media Sourse from 3.10 version (in A4 ISO disk) to 3.30 version with the upgrade files CMS_PCAPP_LB_3_30_21.exe (53MB) and CMS_GO_PCAPP_LB_3_10_15.exe (13MB) from USA Creative download page without any mods. media sourse works fine (with DTS-NEO setting add in compare to the Media Source 3.1) but I could not see any dramatic change in sound quality. Where are X-Fi launch apps: Music mode, game mode or Cinema mode? Maybe in X-fi ISO disk!!!
However one file AudCon_PCApp_LB_2_00_31.exe could not run, I'll try to mod it and istall! Could it be the X-fi launching that I did mention?

This is simple:

Simply download the drivers from here:

Then use WinRAR or WinZip to decompress the contents of the file to a directory on your hard drive.
e.g. c:\temp\X-Fi Drivers

Right-click on My Computer and select 'Manage'.

In the left pane of the window the comes up, select 'Device Manager'.

Scroll down on the right to 'Sound,video and game Controllers'.

Look for the entry for your card.
e.g. Creative SB Audigy

Right-click the entry and select 'Update Driver...'

Check off 'No, not this time', and hit 'Next'.

Check off 'Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)', and hit 'Next'.

Check 'Don't Search.I will choose the driver to install', and hit 'Next'.

Hit 'Have Disk...'

Click 'Browse', and browse to this subfolder where you decompressed the file earlier:
e.g. C:\temp\X-Fi Drivers\SBXF_PCDRV_LB_2_07_0003\Drivers\wdm

Then click 'Open' and the rest should install by itself.

Reboot when the computer asks you to.
