x-fi and creating eax effects
i just bought a x-fi extreme music. and i can't seem to find an option where it is possible to create your own eax effects like how you could with the audigy 2 useing the eax console. is this possible with the new x-fi cards? and is it possible to import the eax presets from the audigy 2 software? im really missing the concert hall eax preset for my music. and the ability to create my own presets.

Does it have MediaSource 3 and other application (equalizer, EAX Console, Surroud Mixer,..)? I do not have X-fi card. Sorry that X-Fi is not availabe in Vietnam now. However when I use the web update soft (which intend for X-fi)( http://us.creative.com/support/downl...wnload.asp)for my Audigy 1 (running A4 soft), it works well with the new update. The new Media Source is A4 Media Source 3 upgrade only. EAX and other things are same. May X-Fi card have diffrent setting, I think so.
For your X-fi card, It was shipping without X-ram (I think so), however base on what I see in Creative webpages, it also have a small chip near X-fi DSP looks very similar like RAM, Could you post the X-fi card real pic? I think if it have RAM but being disabled like VGA pipeline, soon we could see the X-RAM enable way! Sorry for my English!! |

The concert hall preset is in there. I haven't messed around with it enough to figure out how to make your own.

i don't see it. the closest thing i have is opera hall. not quite the same as the concert hall preset i had with my audigy2. and there's only 9 presets, and there're not nearly diverse enough. |
