Which drivers and software to use with an Audigy 2 Value
I am going to buy and Audigy 2 Value Soundcard for 42 Euro it think this is very cheap. Now I have read several threads discribing how to "upgrade" the Audigy 2 Value to a Ausigy 2 ZS or even to a Audigy 4 Pro. So I want to ask you wich is the best driver and software for the Audigy 2 Value.
I think that the Moddified Audigy 4 Pro ISO would be the best software, is this true? And wich drivers shall I use? But yesterday I read about an PAX NewYear Pack or something like this wich was a all in one pack including modified Audigy 4 Drivers and Hacked Audigy 4 Software so this would be the easiest solution but I am not able to find this Pack today. So please tell me which Software / Driver is the best for the Audigy 2 Value. Thank You in advance? p.s. as faar is I understood the Audigy 2 Value and the Audigy 4 Pro are the almost the same but the software is different. So a Audigy 2 Value with the Audigy 4 Pro Software and drivers installed will provide the same amount of features and quality as a Audigy 4 Pro. Is this true? |

Just use those original Audigy 2 Value drivers.

But I thought that the Audigy 4 Drivers and Software will provide a better sound and more functions than the Audigy 2 Value ones. So why to use to original drivers and software?
Thank You edit: The PAX-NewYear v1.2 driver should work with the Audigy 2 Value cause this is written in its description. But can I use this driver with the Audigy 4 ISO? And does the YouP Pax-A4 Driver also works with the Audigy 2 Value? Last edited by karlmueller; Sep 9, 2005 at 11:25 AM. |

The PAX 1.2 driver should be good enough to enjoy better sound quality on A2V. I personally never tried installing it. Gonna do it soon. For now, I use X-fi driver which I downloaded from station-driver site.
Here's the link: http://www.station-drivers.com/page/sb%20audigy2.htm |
