hi all

long time since i posted here
i always visit driverheaven.net and read news and stuff on the forum.

i got the hercules digifire 7.1 soundcard
i like it but there is something i want but cant seem to find and i hope some smart people here knows the answear to my question!

on the audigy 1 and 2 there is a feature that allows you to record what you hear
i really want to have that feature with the digifire 7.1
i tried to search on google and found some utilities that can record what you hear but they cost to much for me. if any1 knows of an utilitie that can record what you hear and is freeware

second i would like to know if there is an utilitie that can change the voice to alien or zeus just like on the audigy
not only the voice but also the have different eax features
ex. to hear the song in a bath room

i would be very happy if some1 can help me with this and if the utilities where freeware but i want to know about the utilites that cost too.
i use windows xp

Or maybe Nero Wave Editor (coming with Nero since 5.5).
2. I am not sure about this, but Cubase (professional recording) has a lot effects, maybe you can find some additional that do that.

"What U Hear", is also called "Stereo Mix" on others.

If you lack either of those (or anything that means the same) as a recording mixer option, then one other dodge is to externally loop line-out to line-in, and record from line-in

Hmm..this maybe a question for the Hercules forums. It sounds like to me this question is something very specific about your sound card controls.

The only program I use for recording is Sound Forge 6. You might try that Golden Wave program or whatever it's called.

I used to have a Hercules game theater so I know what you are talking about missing EAX sound functions. Sadly, for you have apply some filter or effect in recording software. I doubt there is any softwarewise that will simulate this unless you can hack the Santa Cruz's drivers to work with your card.

i have something called stereo mix but didnt know what it was

now i saw that there where ways to install audigy 2 drivers on audigy 1 maybe i can do something similar with the santa cruz drivers?

last where can i find the hercules digifire forum?

i already found i could record with stereo mix but this software is better then my and it is free thx

now my only problem is the eax features

i've searched for hercules forums but couldn't find it
if some1 knows where it is please tell me

now does it exist an utilite that manipulates voice and other thing the audigy can do but that works with the majority of sound cards?
what i mean is a utillitie that isn't specific about the sound card's controls?
a utilitie that works when recording and when just talking in the mic
