There are many software players, that support Dolby Digital. My SB Live supports AC-3 decode but I wanna use my Yamaha AV-reciever.
My question is, how can I get AC-3 output from SBLive 5.1 spdif (orange jack)? |

in the surround mixer, you should enable "digital output only" and on the right side, ther is a settings button, there you've to turn off dd 5.1 decoding.

Cant get this to work
I have the Sblive 5.1
I have hooked up the sound card via the Digital out plug to the Spdif in on my receiver. I put the newest sound drivers in & turned off the ac3 decoding & set to spdif out only. When I play DVD movie with power DVD set to spdif passthru no sound comes out at all When I switch to stereo the sound comes out but its only stereo no blue light on my Sony receivers no DD 5.1 I have tried everything all I want to do is get DD5.1 to pass thru on DVD movies |

there should be an option somewhere within the CL driver suite to enable AC3 passthrough
you may also have to set the audio output options correctly from within your DVD playback application
