to those who use headphones/headsets
I am seriously thinking about ditching my speakers for some head phones. I tend to like to game at night and it sucks having to keep the vloume very low so i dont wake the demons up, oh i mean wife and kid.
I was wandering what ones you might use and what you might reccomend. Been looking at these: Sennheiser hd212 Sennheiser PC150's eDimensional Audio FX Force FeedBack Gaming Headset

i don't recommend force feadback headsets - the yhave hte potential to cause damage to the joints in your neck - but sennheiser audio quality is top

no, the forcefeed back ones i know of have something that goes at the top of your neck where it meets the skull and just vibrates -not a smart thing imo

I have the sennheiser 212 pro's
Let me tell you they are they best audio quality you will find in that price range. Only downside is when you wear them for a long period of time they tend to fel tight and make your ears sore. But then again every set will do this if you wear them long enough. great overall set |

I know squat about good models for headsets. However, if you want a straight out great set of cans, live in the United States, and don't want to pay too much.

Ya My HD497s feel the same way, I can only wear them for a short period of time. If you are on a slightly lower budget but still want good sounding phones, look @ Koss. There headphones are actually really good, and most are extremely comfortable. |

I am willing to spend up to 100 bucks on a decent pair.
Was looking at the SENNHEISER HD 280 Pro but they lack a mic but I could always pick up a cheap mic if this a good headset for gaming.

it's not like a soundcard in whether it's good for music or gaming (ie turtlebeach vs creative) it's how clear the sound re-production of the headphones are

So you think the 280's are the way to go or do you have another preference?

On the lighter side of the wallet you might want to look at the Koss SportaPros ($20US) or PortaPros ($40US). Both headsets don't look it, but they are simply amazing, especially the PortaPros. You can get them directly from Koss, or look on Amazon. |
