Xfi and my home sound system HELP NEEDED!!

I just got my XFI card and wanted to have the card go through my 6.1 home system. For now only have it plugged in to the red and white cd input on the back and get only two speakers. WHat would I need to do to get it to come through the rest of the speakers.

RTM.

User's Guide is not available to download yet, but as on the older cards manuals there used to be a very detailed instructions to connect different speaker systems, I suppose it is same with X-Fi's too. You have the UG on that driver CD.

What exactly do you mean red/black?

Just remember if you do this digital you will only get 2 speakers until you play some thing coded for multispeaker.

Not sure what you're talking about on asking about red/black. I said red/yellow audio cords not sure if thats what you where talking about. I tried starting a game with 6.1 and no luck.
When I look at setup console setting for the xfi card it says far right plug for digital. The second one is only right/left speakers and thats the one I have it connected to. So it's no surprise I only am getting two channel. If I plug it into the digital it makes a loud constante sound and if i do a sound test I can hear sound faint in the background. Do I need a different plug to go from the card to my onkyo.

If you want outpu to be digital and 6.1, you need to set both from software too.
On Audigy 2 there is AudioHQ you can set digital I/O settings.
Also see what you can set on speaker settings/THX panel.

Also, look Jack diagrams for jack plug types!!

What kind of receiver are you running for starters? If it has mulitple channel inputs on it's back... you're in business. You could also use the optical/coaxial connection if you system supports it...

The back of this particular receiver has both options (left side has the digital inputs, center-bottom has the multi channel inputs), but does yours?

that one is close to mine. I was reading and see people say I can get my 6.1 working by using a 1/8 mini coaxle adapter. Anyone know if this should work

that will ONLY work IF the source is encoded in 6.1 sound
