Audigy 2 value
Ok if some one can help me i will really apreciate.
i have got a new audigy 2 value card and i would like to know wich its the best driver 4 it. PAX actually i`m using the creative driver and its sounds ok, the EAX its working perfectly and its up to eax 4. but i really would like to try the PAX, i don`t know if they have support for this card, i think they should becouse it using the ctaud2k.sys file. i know the audigy LS doesnt use this file, so i was wondering if they support it or not. well thanx a lot and have good one everybody

If you want to start 'hassle' with your PC then go and install those PAX drivers. I suppose, all hi has been able to do to these drivers is EQ (maybe some added effects too). The frequency curve on Audigy 2 value is quite straight so it won't need any EQing. You can also do EQing using software bundled with Creative (CTPanel, Grqphical EQ) or with another software (media players have EQ of it's own) available (depending the use of your card and software you're using).
So, if I'd be you, I'd download the latest beta drivers from station-drivers instead. You find the link from another thread here starting .1162 .... jiitee |

I use PAX-NewYear v1.2 with my Audigy 2 Value and it works great! Now, the sound is much better in comparison with Creative's original drivers.

For the post Eq's included in soundcard are usually for Eq'ing the users speakers not the sound card. as for the most part they are Eq'd and straightened during design...just thought I would note.
