Live! and Audigy2 Drivers FIX!
When You install Audigy2 WDM drivers on a PC using SB Live! soundcard, digital output stops working after a second reboot. I have come up with a fix for this issue (tested only only on win2k/xp. I don't know if it'll work on 9x).
Just download this file: http://snow.prohosting.com/eh4x0r/bin/livefix.zip extract its contents, right click livefix.inf, select Install and reboot. From now on digital output will work flawlessly during normal use, it will stop working when you change speaker presets in surround mixer, however it'll be fine again after a reboot (preset change will be saved). This works well on my system, i do not guarantee it will for You too... I hope this is just a temporary solution and i'll come up with something more permanent. Please give some feedback if it worked and if there are any further problems... EDIT: I suggest using b383 drivers instead. Get them here: http://snow.prohosting.com/eh4x0r/bin/evil383.rar Last edited by evil_one; Jul 2, 2003 at 11:17 PM. |

here's the IMO best way to install audigy2 b323 driver on a SB Live! or Audigy.
1.extract contents of the audigy2 driver update (http://files.asia.creative.com/files...VL11021217.exe) using winzip or winrar 2.copy contents of the drivers directory located in the extracted audigy2 driver update over audigy2 283 driver set (http://202.102.249.31/%7Esblivefan/Audigy2divers.zip), replacing existing files. 3.from the win2k_xp folder copy CTDAUGHT.DAT, ctdlang.dat, CTSTATIC.DAT and DEFAULT.ECW to the common folder, replacing existing files. 4.Now you have the full 323 win2k/xp WDM driver set. run ctzapxx to install it. after installation you may run CTHwAccl.exe (http://www.republika.pl/evil_one2/CTHwAccl.zip) or use dxdiag to set hardware acceleration to full.
