YouP PAX interesting find: youP installer = good, installing any creative soft = bad
preface:
I have had to reinstall my soundcard many many times becuase I tried kx driver but later found out they do not allow fot DTS decoding.. which made me change my mind. problem: I have noticed that if you install the YouP PAX driver (i used 1.02), the sound is awesome and for some reason it defaults to upmixing stereo audio tracks (I have checked the audio control panel but any thing that normall turns this on is off so this is all default). So... if you proceed to install any creative stuff (eg from the audigy 4 cd) the upmix is diabled, and the extra sound quality like the music edit II bass improvements are lost and you cannot recover them. Anybody notice this before? |

You should use the Modified Audigy 4 Pro ISO to install the software. You will find a link to it here: http://www.hardwareheaven.com/audio-general-technical-discussion/75905-moddified-audigy-4-pro-iso-out-download-now-available.html
Complete instructions is there also. |
