saintzin is on a distinguished road

amd64's and Audigy's

I installed audigy 4 beta's from creative, dated 8/29. It installed i386 files. I have an amd64, and there is a folder for amd64. When i manually extract the 64 files to system32, it overwrites with bigger files.

Therefore there must be more code for amd64's. But ti does not work. Everything installs and detects fine, but my sound panel's volume is greyed out.

So has anyone gotten the amd64 drivers installed? What are your specs?

hohum will become famous soon enough

Just an assumption here as I haven't looked myself... but I believe that would be because the amd64 folder contains 64-bit drivers. So, unless you are running the 64-bit version of WinXP, you cannot use them.
