Smilie Is X-Fi program possible to be used at audigy card?

I'm downloading X-fi program files were posted by Necrosis.

But I don't know if the program will work or not.

So if anyone tried to test it with using audigy card, please tell me the result of your test.

I hope I can use the program with my audigy1 de card.

I did receive your PM but haven't been able to get around to replying it. However, those programs as far as I know will not work on your card.

I very much like the X-fi card myself. Why is the programs so important anyway?

Because I want to use EAX 5.0 and CMSS 3D.
So if I can use the program in my audigy, I will test whether EAX 5.0 andCMSS 3D works or not

No. I was asking to know if X-fi program is possible to be used at audigy card. But now I became to know it's impossible.

Nevertheless I hope it will be possible in short time by someone.

X-Fi Music Applications on Audigy 2

Agree,

I would be interested to use the Audio Apps from X-Fi on an Audigy 2 Plat ex. If anybody knows how to hack the apps, please let us know!

The "Audio Creation Mode" Mixer looks very nice and is probably an easy way to record music and being able to insert different effects. It looks a little bit like the EMU apps for the semipro cards they sell.

Dream on!

The 24bit Crystalizer will never work on an Audigy because the sound processor unit is diferent. And the diference is huge. You can start by the transistor count: 51 million for the X-FI vs 4 millions for the Audigy. The X-fi has specific instructions in the processor that are used by the software like the 24bit crystalizer. So, if you want that function get an X-FI sound card! Remerber that that sound processor was being developed for years! Maybe some parts of the software can be used but others are just going to end with error messages.

The X-RAM is of little to no importance when it comes to software compatibility of X-Fi to Audigy. I have a very hard time imagining it would even be theoretically possible to mod an audigy with the X-Fi software. What will the audigy do when you switch modes? Take a coffee break? Seriously, it may be possible but since they are two wholly different architectures it is not plausible imo. The reason why you can softmod an audigy 1 or 2 to an Audigy4 is because they share the same core.
