Help me choose an MP3 player.

I hope this is the right forum to post this, but anyway:

What do you quys prefer: Creative ZEN Micro 6GB or Apple iPod Mini 6GB? Or do you have other favorites in the same price category?

I like the i-audio players personally... will probably pick up a 2GB flash player from them pretty soon.

being a hater of cables (why are they all different???? one for each camera, one each for the mp3 players, one for the printer etc.....) I have a Rio Karma with a dock, and a Nex ia+ with a 1GB CF card.
Both are good, you can get the karma dirt cheap these days, but it's a little bulkier than the ones you mentioned.

take a look at the iRiver H10 series, or some of the iRiver flash players - they've got some nice features

but I will recommend the creative player aswell

Anyone tried Samsung's YEPP line of players? I may consider getting one in the future, but have been a bit sceptical over the music quality of portable players in general.

What stats do you look for in a portable music player (regarding music quality) ? Stuff like "dynamic range" and SNR, though I'm only used to researching sound cards about this stuff

I've been in love with this one since I first clapped eyes on it:

unfortunately it's already a heap of money more than I paid for my 20gb rio.

Pretty slick. How long until higher capacity flash-players will be available? I read a while back about 6GB ones being in development.
