Audigy2 - How do I hear 5.1 in speaker calibration test
Hi Guys,
I just bought audigy2 ZS. I connected it with my Yamaha receiver (fully Dolby digital EX compatibile) using the SPDIF jack. I can hear the sound normaly. How do I hear the 5.1 in the speaker calibration test that's included in the driver pack? I hear just stereo (front 2 speakers). Before Audigy2 I had Live! 5.1 and it was the same. I could hear 5.1 just in the movies when using AC3 filter. Can someone help me on how to actually hear 5.1 in the audigy speaker calibration software? Thanks |

You can't. Simply put.
The digital out on Creative's cards can only send out an AC3 encoded signal or a stereo PCM signal. No discrete multichannel audio from the digital out in other words.
