If you just want to use analog output, e.g. for connecting front audio, you can stick to these 2 posts: http://www.forumdeluxx.de/forum/show...hp?t=180707#15 (it's in german, but i think the last 3 pics say all you need to know)
having this for ~3 weeks now and it's working fine. With this you get the same output on your front panel, that you have on your card's primary jack.Has anyone yet tried connecting a digital reciever to an x-fi w/o front panel using the ad_ext pin layout from audigy 2 (and some generic spdif bracket)? |

So did anybody try connecting pin 25 and 35 on the x-fi and get the option ungreyed? Because people keep saying the pinout is the same so if it is the same than connecting those 2 pins should work the same. Unless the x-fi uses something special to detect it so it can be a pain and make you buy an 80$ ad-in drive!

inteks
Inteks,
Are you able to select 5.1 speaker setup and select "digital output only?" I tried using the X-fi for 3xspdif, but only got one s/pdif channel to work. |

Re: X-fi
Cadman,
Can you detail how you did this. I am looking for exactly this? Regards Mark

Re: X-fi
Cadman hasn't posted on this thread or DH since 2005. You might be better off starting a new thread detailing exactly what you need.
