compare A4 1.02 vs beta creative 1162

have now A4 1.02 driver with Iso A4 but is 1162 better ,sound 2.1 or in games 5.1 ?

and have some problems with 1.02:

When i switch speaker settings from: example 2.0(1) to 5.1 or back ,all my own settings disappear ,volume increase to max bass redirection (bass boost )switch off everything what i set is after switch is default ( switching in console do the same) installation was on clean xp, and shall i try creative beta 1162 driver , what about sound compare to A4 1.02 driver (my card is Audigy1)

I've been using 1162 some time and I think these drivers are much better than A4 1.02. With 1162 I don't have any problems, all settings are remembered when speakers' configuration is changed. I had the same problem as you with A4 1.02, when I switched from headphones to 5.1 and otherwise I had to setup everything once again.

There are updates for the Creative Surround Mixer and other software that has issues separate from the actual driver. I'd check that first.

I only have bugs with beta drivers - mixer doesnt work at all

upgrade to creative official beta ones they sound best to me

They sound best to me too but I hae the Creative Mixer not running issue too.

So the winner is for me is now beta creative 2.08 with A4 ISO software (dont forget to install this pack without drivers which included) or Use them with pack New Year 2005 software.

Creative Beta 2.08 sound better ,more clean than Pax 1.02 (mp3 - 2.1)

9 serious bugs of YouP PAX 1.02 were found and fixed on 1.31 drivers which will be soon released.

And at which driver should they be updated? To last official beta 2.08.0002 or some other middle release??
