EQ and EAX Console settings

Hello,
I have A2 with A4 modded drivers installed

Trying to perfectly set up my sound experience i started to tweak some settings. But....I'm confused what the difference is between EAX advanced EQ and regular EQ (bass and trebble).

i am kind of perfectionist (sorry so i am really interested how do you tweak those settings.

What really confuses me is fact that for one task , for example boosting bass i have three ways:
- tweaking some settings in current eax effect (changing Low Gain, Mid gain etc)
- tweaking Graphic Equalizer
- changing Bass and Treble sliders

Moreover i noticed that graphic EQ is not totally independent of bass and treble sliders - so you can max put treble and that again max out trebles in graphic eq - totally all of this gives me too many solutions - maybe i just got too much into problem i just wonder if i should tweak all three settings at the same time , or leave for eg. eax the way it is and tweak EQ only.
